Set my compass north, I got winter in my blood!

Author: The Mixtape
What better forecast for tonight's Great Canadian Mixtape than -5 and snowing? We're going to travel across the country and into the past, listening all the while to songs about the expansion of the west, the Acadians of the east coast, a doomed silver mine in Thunder Bay, and the vast sea to the north. More contemporary topics include living in a bland and nondescript town, being lonely in that town, and wishing you were elsewhere, specifically in an equally bland and nondescript town out west. We will also be taking a trip to our own cold, cold capitol city. I'd bring a jacket for this one. No, you don't have to wear it now, but have it with you just in case.

I should mention that last week we rocked out hard and generally enjoyed the weather. I talked about the great Road to Success and maintaining a strict devotion to duty. I also played a lot of music about a lot of things, including but not limited to lumps ("Everybody take a solo!"), the year 2000, futons, spitting, and Star Trek.

Tune in tonight at 9 for The Great Canadian Mixtape and you will not be disappointed. You may even be impressed.

Sincerely,

Ian
