The Morning Show
The Morning Show is the edgy, corky, witty, ridiculous and often outrageous friend that you have been waiting to meet at Laurier. The best part is, this friend, is really seven friends with varying opinions, perspectives, and personalities that are sure to keep you on your toes. Our seven DJs all range in ages, backgrounds, programs of study, and in many more unmentionable ways…But really, if you want to hear what is going on around campus and in the “real” world, get the most entertaining entertainment news,
and take part in an interactive radio station, tuning in is long overdue. Listen to The Morning Show weekdays from 9am-12 on RadioLaurier.com.
DJ Larry D
Supppp! I’m a third year religion and culture! I love all sorts of trinkets and bojangles specifically shiny ones like (non-conflict)diamonds and CDs. I enjoy themed parties, dragons and Radio Laurier. My musical taste is a unique collection of both old and new, gangster and hippie. Tune in to the Morning Show to meet me and all my personalities!
DJ Pop Lizard
I am a second year communications and film major, and more importantly, half of your morning show coordinators. At times I may be ridiculous and slightly out of hand, but our wonderful Morning Show team does their best to keep me in check. Don’t doubt that I will
provide you with a little bit of my country roots, wicked music, and of course the occasional Beiber rant. I look forward to waking you up right on The Morning Show.
DJ Garth
I am a third-year communications student who enjoys intramural jujitsu, three-hour lectures, and old re-runs of Bob and Margaret…kidding. I love watching others over-the-top competitiveness in any sporting venture, sleeping through my morning classes, and watching any trashy television special or reality series beginning with “The Real Housewives”. My musical
styling’s range from virtually anything played in and around the 90’s, to both classic rock and new age. I look forward to seducing you over the airwaves.
DJ Big L
If you are currently reading this, thanks for your interest in the morning show! My name is Luke, better
known as Big L on the morning show! As for my origins, I come from a foggy, far away village known as
Markham. Please listen to the Morning Show every week from 9AM – 12 PM!
DJ Goomba:
Let me tell you that life is hard standing at 2’3″. If you’re not watching out for plumbers jumping on you for no apparent reason than you’re probably wondering why the great god almighty made you look like a brown mushroom with toeless feet. A little bit about
myself though: I enjoy long walks on 2-dimensional brick paths and going for rides down in the green pipeline system that was installed by the mushroom kingdom. I think our princess Peach is a hotty and i love chillin’ with my two best buds, Koopa and Birdo. I’m into upbeat music, and I look forward to sharing with you!
DJ Airplane:
My real name is Aaron Casha and I'm a 1st year student in the Business Administration program. I really appreciate the simple things in life.Staying optimistic and having a good time are key. I listen to a huge variety of music from A Day to Remember and Underoath to Damien Rice and Death Cab for Cutie. Some would call my style hipster but I would disagree. I just wear the clothes I feel comfortable in. In the wonderful lyrics of Jack's Mannequin, "I am slipping into the airwaves, the statics where you'll find me."
DJ CP:
Hey Folks!! Thank-you for listening to Radio Laurier! My name is Christie, better known as DJ CP! I am a second year Global and Film
Studies Major and the newest addition to the Morning Show team. My play list is very diverse cause I like to keep things upbeat with some serious flow. Big MJ fan and Disney enthusiast but I listen to everything. I am a huge movie buff, sports freak, and actually really care about saving the world and making life more interesting. I hope I can keep all of you listeners entertained!
