Yes, you have read correctly. Radio Laurier is going to NXNE this year. I (Judith Brunton- programming manager, better known as @JudyDark) will be tossing myself around Toronto like a frizbee with a jetpack to highlight some of the super hot or up and coming NXNE performers.

To start us off, I highlighted some of the bands that will be playing for us tonight on Radio Laurier's Morning Show.

The first artist highlighted was The Mountains and the Trees from Newfoundland!



We listened to the songs Up and Down and Apartment Song, but you should listen to this:

Then I highlighted two Calgary bands: WOMEN and Ghostkeeper.

We listened to WOMEN's Black Rice and Shaking Hand, which was awesome.



The we listened to Baby Girl and Tea and Cree Talking by Ghostkeeper, which was also very very awesome.



Next we highlighted Donlands and Mortimer! These folks are from Toronto and they're cute as bunnies!



On the Morning Show we got to listen to Starboard and I'll tell my children, but you should listen to these:

Then we concluded our NXNE Morning Show adventure with some Best Coast

It was tons of fun! Highlighting these bands was lovely, but not as lovely as they're all going to be tonight!
