The Floor’s Very First Blog
Hey everyone! Thinking about the wide array of difficulties we experienced on the show tonight strangely motivated me to stop procrastinating and (finally) post something.
Tonight's show focused mostly on cool, airy techno tunes that reminds me of how it's starting to feel outside.
Sadly, I'm not a winter person.
Included was the fantastic 8001 by Ruhr-based German techno artist Moguai, which I can't stop listening to, fittingly released on Deadmau5's label mau5trap.
DJ Alpha also joined me in the studio for the second half of the show. We chatted about such fun things as the imminent opening of techno/electro/what-have-you club Beta, to be opened on the gutted site of the old Waterloo Theatre. I'm really excited at the prospect of seeing Steve Angello, aka one third of Swedish House Mafia, playing his only Ontario set here in town at Beta on November 18th!
Next week (if all goes well) The Floor will be featuring a first-time special guest, replete with epic disco-house madness. Until next time, keep warm and avoid the cold-like afflictions going around!
