Battle of the Bands finale

After four great battles throughout the month of November, it all comes down to this. 16 bands have been whittled down to 5, and only one will walk away victorious with a fantastic prize pack that includes $500 cash, a professionally designed band banner, and a Radio Laurier showcase, among other things. We’re expecting to reach capacity early, so come on out and help your favourite band reach precipitious new heights. Doors at 8 p.m., $5 cover.

Radio Laurier Presents … In English
Maxwell’s Music House (220 King St. N. behind Phil’s)
Fresh off the success of our third installment of the “Radio Laurier Presents …” concert series with The Danger Bees, Parlour Steps and Crush Luther, we bring you another Toronto headliner, In English. In their brief existence, this indie pop-rock quartet have done some recording with Arkells’ drummer Tim Oxford and received strong reviews at Toronto’s NXNE Festival. Come take a break from the rigours of exams with a night of great music before these guys get too big to play venues this intimate; no one studies on Saturdays anyway. Doors at 9 p.m., $5 with a OneCard, $7 without.
