So here’s a show about what not to do and the elephant in the room.

you may notice, some music you hear makes reference to drugs. Why is there such a simple and apparent connection between drugs and music? Whether it’s coke, weed, lsd, shrooms, bourbon or any silly combination of capitalized letters whose existence is predicated on things i have no understanding of, they all eventually get connected to not only the producers of music but the audience as well. Sure, there’s exceptions always, but (especially with electronica) there is usually a substance close by at any given concert. Is it a coincidence that music and drugs may be so intricately entwined with our moments of elation?
…Yeah i don’t know either.
At the risk of writing a paper when I don’t have to I will avoid introspectively barfing questions on the keyboard. That would solve nothing.
However, it would be silly to say that this week’s show is in no way under the influence of drugs. It’s mostly under the influence. Whether it’s overt (Shpongle) or symbolically implied, its going to be an evening of discussion and disruptions.
