The Butters Show

 Hello friends, my name is Scott Hiebert and I am a third year Communication Studies major here at Wilfrid Laurier University. I grew up in the metropolis of Paris, Ontario where you are only given three options for social activities; play hockey, farming, or drinking your sorrows away at the local “Moe’s Tavern.” Now many of you may be wondering why I decided to call my show The Butters Show? Well, I see myself as a sort of doppelganger to the Butters character on South Park. We share the same mannerisms and we are both that awkward friend in every thinkable situation. But where I differ from Butters is in musical taste. As devoted as I am to the shtick, I must break and get to the music. The Butters Show is dedicated to playing indie, indie rock, rock, post-grunge, and metal music. Every week will be an adventure with random, quirky facts and cleverly placed quotes from South Park. With artists ranging from The Tragically Hip, Kings Of Leons, Arkells, Wolf Parade, Two Hours Traffic, Alexisonfire, Against Me!, The Offspring, Attack In Black, Foo Fighters, Cancer Bats, Sam Roberts, Bon Iver, Arcade Fire, and much more. So tune into Radio Laurier every Friday from 12-1pm to experience a musical journey not to be forgotten.
