Author: The Shhh They Should Have Said
HeyHey catz!
Thanks for tuning in yesterday!  Here are some super-sweet highlights:
Food we are willing to loose our boyfriend over: Frat BURGER (anything on the menu but specifically the chocloate milkshake, veggie burger that tastes like falafel and the poutine with the unique mushroom gravy) NOM NOM NOM picture us at frat burger like baby grinch eating the Santa plate... ok, you get the picture?

Bobblehead of the week (someone who is creepy and unnecessary): ALL THE IDIOTS BUYING INTO KIMS MARRIAGE AND HER DIVORCE, you think shes ridiculous, your the one still talking about it...

Jay-z and Kayne were spotlighted as who is SPANKIN IT (running the world) for shedding some light on issues in America with there song Made In America (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NEjcDlDWb5I).  Thank you someone (other than Ellen Degeneres for using your fame for something good for once).

And finally where the spooky fook were the halloween specials?  Please someone tell me they have a copy of Hocus Pocus I can borrow because Saw VI you just aint cuttin it and thats all I could find...

Thanks again luvas, see you next week @ same time, same place (Tuesdays7pm-8pmduhhh)

Coupons ftw

Author: The Morning Show
HELLO!

Dj Airplane here from The Morning Show. We had a very exciting show today which included lots of Laurier happenings, how to surive in a foreign country, some famous birthdays (Katy Perry, Ciara) and some great tasting Quizno's sandwiches (which we're sure the cashier dislikes us because of our obsession with coupons).

If you missed out today tune in tomorrow or any other day of the week! Tomorrow Dj Mandy and I will be filling the airwaves with some great tunes and conversation.

As always, we hope all our listeners are doing well getting through this crazy midterm period. We all have things to look forward to this week - the Winter Carnival Theme Unveil, Tony Lee, and of course Halloween.

Keep your heads up!

Love, The Morning Show

Why go to the gym when you can dub?

Author: Emily Frost
Thursday night's festivities in uptown Waterloo got a little intense this week as 500 bass heads packed into Waterloo’s Beta nightclub for the latest edition of Touch Entertainment’s Monsterland featuring dub sensations Mt Eden and B. Rich.

New Zealand’s Mt Eden took the stage and kept the party going as they spun track after track. From heavy bass lines to more, shall we say “philosophical” songs, the sound system at Beta lived up to its national reputation and kept the room bouncing all night (and morning) long.

B. Rich, aka Barrett Richards of Pittsburgh, took the stage to DJ a bass-heavy set which included Rusko’s popular track Hold On and Cinema by Benny Benassi. Sporting a t-shirt representing Canada’s own Zeds Dead, Rich pumped up the crowd of dub enthusiasts. The energy was amazing as the entire crowd chanted “it’s bigger than hip-hop” to Rich’s remix of 90’s hip-hop duo Dead Prez’s hit song.

Monsterland 0.11 with Mt Eden and B. Rich proved that Beta is the new hotspot in Waterloo, hosting some of the biggest DJ’s and dub artists, all despite still not having a liquor license.

One thing’s certain, when the music hits you feel no pain.
